"A long history with Colorado"
Old Colorado City started as the capital when Colorado was still just a territory. The area is filled with historic buildings and remants of the past. This area is rich in history, but is also geared towards the tourist visiting Colorado. There are numerous shops, restaurants, museums, churces, cemetaries, and a bed & breakfast. Homes here are typically less expensive than other ares of Colorado Springs, and often a bit older, but certainly don't lack in charm or character. The schools here are good, and make for a nice place for families to call home.
Located just west of the neighborhood there is a multitude of things to do. There is hiking, camping, more shopping, more dining, and tourist spots galore. You can see remants from the days of the American Indians, visit caverns that go deep into the mountain, do crazy high obstacle courses, and see some of the prettiest scenery around.
This is a great area of town to both visit and live in. It's location makes it idea for those working in downtown Colorado Springs, and offers easy access to the highway and the high country.
