"Best Apartment Living in Orinda"
Orindawoods Drive is what Altarinda turns into as it reaches its upper climes. It runs just parallel to the freeway but is so far up that you may not even notice the cars below. It is mostly apartment living up here, but everything is so well kept and green and beautiful that it is better than many homes in worse locations. The view offers mostly green and although you get the freeway in it, you also get the green and often fog-capped hills of Orinda.
If you follow the street down on the Lafayette end, you get the St. Stephens exit of Highway 24. It is one of the most treesy areas around. On the otherside you end up right down in Orinda Village with all of its eateries and shops--as well as the on ramp to the 24 just by the Caldecutt Tunnel.
Given that the police station is just down the road, you could not be safer. Also, it is one of the few areas in Orinda that has adaquate sidewalks and walking paths so that you can go for a morning jog or afternoon walk. You have your choice of schools just down the road by Orinda, as well, including the great private school Orinda Acadamy, Del Rey Middle School and a Montisorri Pre-School.
So if you can afford it, this is a great place for young couples or singles who are not ready for home ownership yet.
