Pilsen, Chicago - good neighborhood for families with kids?

I don't love Pilsen for families with kids. It isn't the best neighborhood, though it has come a long ways. My main concern is that it's sorta loud, and the atmosphere is more geared toward singles and artistic types than families.

Pilsen is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the city and is quickly gaining popularity with families and hipsters. Although it has had some issues with crime in the past, things are turning around, which makes it a great place for families and singles alike.
