"Nice Suburban Street"
Pleasanton is a lovely, safe, comfortable East Bay town that feels more Peninsula than it does Oakland/Berkeley. The homes are very nice - comfortably sized without being extravagant, although they are extremely close together - characteristic of Northern California real estate.
Prices in this town are certainly high for anywhere else, but somewhat more reasonable for the area. Given that the town is right at the 580/680 junction, it is easy to get just about anywhere in the Bay Area, so long as you don't mind some traffic.
The other nice thing is that Pine Hill Lane is within walking distance of downtown Pleasanton. While it's not exactly San Francisco nightlife, it is nice to have restaurants and shopping right nearby.
