"Street Where You Must Have Passed By If You Lived In Scripps Ranch Area in San Diego"
Pomeardo Road is basically a very very long street extending from the vey beginning of Scripps Ranch through which you'll pass Poway area and ending in the entrance to I-15 in Rancho Penasquitos area. It was idvided into two separate streets: Pomerado Road and Old Pomerado Road. Old Pomerado Road extends to the ranch Penasquitos I mentioned above. Just Pomeardo Road is joined with highways such as I-15 N and I-15 S, Miramar Road etc.
The street is just a "street" in the full meaning of the word. It is a two-line road on both sides and there is this residential area called Poway which is a part of greater Scripps Ranch area geographically. Both mentioned names represent residential areas.
Now Poway has every facilties people need starting from child care to government offices. When Pomerado Road is mentioned, the first thing you'll hear is that this is the street where Alliant International University located. Even if you are not going there, you can't miss it as it is right on the street. The street also has a newly-established Thurgood Marshall Middle School right next to Alliant. It is a very nice place to send your kids to as its building, facilities and everything is brand new. The neighborhood is safe, with lots of eucalyptus trees on both sides of the street. It used to be very nice before the 2004 Cedar Fire that burned almost all of it. Since that fire, the place looks somewhat brownish as the green pastures were completely lost in it.
The public transportation on Pomerado Road is however null as all the residents commute to farther places, and it really seems that each and every single person owns a car. The only bus that serves is shuttle that connects Mira Mesa area with Scripps Ranch with its ending point being Alliant University. Therefore, do not look forward to using a public transportation if you're moving to the area.
Other facilities such as churches can be found on the street. Though there are not many of them. I clearly remember that there is Methodist Church on the north side of Pomerado, and one Protestant Church nearby as well. Deep in the Poway area, however, there are many Catholic Church facilities. Some of them are really gorgeous in terms of their exterior designs (I even entered on eof them only once, and it was just gorgeous!!!).
To wrap it up, Pomerado Road covers largely a residential area with many facilities, however for entertainment you'll have to go to downtown San Diego or at Mira Mesa Shopping Place. The street can be noisy at the peak of traffic to nearby living people as it is on the way to downtown San Diego, and traffic is really heavy early in the morning and in the evening with everybody going to and from work. That's pretty much about Pomerado Road!
