Port Rd, Jeffersonville

Port Road is the menainder of Interstate 265, as it ends on its eastern side, in Jeffersonville. As it turns from the interstate into a 2 lane road, the speed limit drops to a rediculous (for a road like this) 30mph. It runs for about one and a half miles, before coming to a stop sign at a busy intersection that should have a stop light. It continues from there for another mile or so, before dead ending at Utica Pike, near the river. This is an industrial area, with several factories, and trucking companies up and down it. The traffic, due to the stop sign at a busy intersection, and all of the semi tractor trailers, is pretty bad, and annoying, through most parts of the day. Hopefully they will make some changes to this street soon, to improve these conditions.
