Renfro Rd, Rosedale

The Rosedale neighborhood in Bakersfield is a surprisingly cute, suburban area in Bakersfield. Rosedale is located in the Northwestern Bakersfield area. Most of the houses are new, but some parts have older, established homes. I was a little skeptical about living in Bakersfield, but after visiting Rosedale, I decided it would be fine. I was impressed by the level of pride everyone seems to take in their homes- cut grass, neat landscaping. Since Rosedale is a newer area, there are tons of new shops cropping up- perfect for a stroll to the grocery store. The schools in the are are also good- great news for families. Perhaps my favorite part about Rosedale was that I didn't feel like I was living in stereotypical Bakersfield!
