Richmond Rd
"Mostly free from traffic, but watch your speed. Mostly residential"
Near Chagrin Blvd, it is ok to drive - but watch as you drive just north of Cedar (just past Beachwood Place) There used to be an old farm house on the right (just past the Condos which are on the east side of the street) on a hill. The old farmhouse's driveway still exists and that is where Lyndhurst police wait for people to speed. It's brutal! Past this point, it is mostly residential - punctuated with businesses at Mayfield, Wilson Mills/Monticello and again near Euclid Ave. The houses are well maintained but the neighborhood changes once you get to Euclid Ave.

"Busier Street, But With Good Reason"
There is so much to do on Richmond road that it is usually a very busy street any day of the week. There are a plentiful amount of malls and nice restaurants on this road which is why it will stay busy, even on the weekends. From what I have seen when I constantly drive on this road, the residential properties, though sometimes scattered, are very nicely maintained. Additionally, I have never seen this road have construction being performed on it. Though it may not be the quietest street in the Cleveland area, it certainly is one that will get you from point A to point B quite quickly and intersects many major streets that head downtown (Fairmount, Cedar, etc.) This street could be a viable option to live on or for entertainment purposes for all ages. It does not necessarily show signs of rush hour nor does it turn into a parking lot two times every weekday, but there remains a constant stream of traffic on this road. If you don't mind this, then this road is for you as it has many options for shopping/dining and is very convenient for getting around

"Great neighbors, lots of traffic"
Richmond Road is a very busy street, five lanes wide. Left hand turns are difficult. A great deal of emergency vehicles come through. Loud exhausts and booming stereos are a problem night and day. Litter is thrown from cars and there is always an abundance of cigarette and cigar butts.
On the other side, it can be rather nice to sit and watch the traffic go by. You get to know the regulars after awhile. When you leave home to hit the streets there is no meandering through side streets and stop signs, just pull out onto Richmond and go. Its a straight shot to shoping whether you travel north or south. Shopping and resturants are within walking distance and the types of retail are many.
The housing stock is excellant and the neighborhood is stable. We have many multi-generational families in residence
