Richmond Town
"Luxury Homes and a Museum Rich in History"
In the heart of Staten Island, there is a place where the past can still be experienced with all your senses. The story of Richmond Town reveals layers of the past, and the lives of ordinary people connected to each other in many ways. From its beginning as a rural crossroad, through its development as county seat, to its place as a rustic outpost within New York City, this has been a community of people living and working together.
Richmond Town is now home to several high end luxury homes, many of which are newly constructed. The area still has quite a bit of older homes with plenty of land. Most homes are single family detached homes, some of which are modestly priced for the area. This quite neighborhood makes for a great quality of life. Sometimes the area is overlooked as a luxury home community on Staten Island
When in Richmond Town, a vist ot the Richmond Town Museum is about the only thing to do, other than drive around the residential neighborhood. The Museum keeps the rich Richmond Town history alive offering events all year round, including sleepovers, tours, and many special programs. In May 2009, historic Richmond Town will present Uncorked! NYC’s Wine, Food, & Fun Fest a festival that features the best in professional and homemade wine and food.
