Carver, a little town located southwest of Minneapolis on the Minnesota River, lays claim to being Carver County’s oldest city. In fact, most of Carver’s historic district, including homes and commercial buildings, is on the National Register of Historic Places. "Great City in Carver County."
Carver is a sleepy little town in Carver County that is coming to life with new developments, shopping and recreation. The latest big edition to Carver is the Mills Fleet Farm store in town. If it's made MFF probably stocks it. Plenty of activities with an expansive array of park/trails and lakes to utilize. Wonderful schools with smaller class sizes than most of it's neighbors. The new extension of Hwy. 212 makes a commute to Minneapolis a possibility and about 25 minutes to the MSP airport. Stop by and check it out.
Pros
- Good Schools
- Wonderful Parks and Trails
- New Developments
Cons
- A bit farther west of Mpls.
