"A small, upscale neighborhood with plenty to do here"
Briargate is located in a newer area of Colorado Springs with lots of upscale homes and shopping nearby. The home prices are from the low $200,000 to the mid $700,000 range, with an average somewhere in between. The area is very pretty and clean looking with new shops popping up everywhere. There are numerous places to dine out, although many are chain type restaurants.
The neighborhood lies just east of I-25, which is known for bad traffic in these parts. East of the highway, Briargate Pkwy, North Academy Blvd. and North Powers Blvd all have problems with traffic during peak times, but within the neighborhood itself the traffic is much better. Austin Bluffs can get a little congested as well.
In the area is Pine Creek Golf Course, an 18 hole course which was built in 1988. There are two to five tee boxes for every hole to accommodate many levels of different players. From many areas on each hole there is a gorgeous view of Pikes Peak and the surrounding beauty. There are numerous trees and lakes located on this challenging course.
Just west of the neighborhood lies The Air Force Academy which is home to numerous military personnel living on the beautiful campus.
The school in Briargate are all above average in academics as well as many sports. There is a definite pride amongst the community members and it shows in how well the area is maintained, even though much of it is newer. It is a very safe place to live with almost zero crime, but with that comes the price tag.
If I were moving to the Springs, this would be one of the areas I would consider first.

"Briargate is one of the most popular areas of Colorado Springs, with good (home) resale value!"
Close to everything! School District 20 schools. Convenient to the U. S. Air Force Academy, great golf courses, parks, trails, easy access to I-25 for quick trips to Denver. Shopping at the Chapel Hills Mall or Shops at Briargate are great. Wonderful restaurants and great places to visit!
Pros
- Great Shopping!
