"West Palos Verdes-- Looks like a postcard."
The Palos Verdes Drive West area is a coastal community on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The neighborhood starts in Rancho Palos Verdes (at Hawthorne Blvd.) and extends into Lunada Bay in Palos Verdes Estates. The PV Drive West has an ocean and a non ocean side. On the ocean side, luxury homes such as Ocean Front Estates at the terminus of Hawthorne Blvd. can reach up to $10 Million. The non ocean side starts at just under a million and up. Many homes in this area enjoy excellent ocean and Catalina Island views. Neighborhoods include Lunada Pointe (adjacent to Palos Verdes Estates), Berry Hill, Point Vicente, Warmington Estates, and Oceanfront Estates.
The Golden Cove Shopping Center is also located along Palos Verdes Drive West. The shopping center features a Trader Joes, Starbuck’s, a Montessori school, a gas station, restaurants, and several other small local businesses.
Ocean Front Estates area is also great for walking and jogging. It offers fantastic ocean views and picnic areas. The trail leads to the Point Vicente Light House and the museum.
If you are a family with kids, you are going to love the Palos Verdes Schools. For this area the Palos Verdes Unified School District oversees the Point Vicente Elementary School and the Palos Verdes Intermediate School. High school students can choose between Palos Verdes High School and Peninsula High School. All schools rank high in the state and nation.

PRO This area has some of the best ocean and Catalina Views on the Peninsula. Home buyers often are attracted to this area who like the feeling of Palos Verdes Estates, but want a larger home for the money while still having a wonderful ocean view.
