"Great Location for College Students... espeacially around 200 S."
Great location for college students to live. Within walking distance from the university. The street has several fast food restaurants and a few sit down restaurants as well. Though as a college student I would suggest that you not visit Mcgraff's. It is a little too expensive for most college kids. The area is full of college students. There is a very open atmosphere. There are lots of people out walking on the streets. The streets are well lite at night and seem very safe. The traffic is bad during football season. Often leaving you with no place to park.

"Dirty Area lots of Crime."
This review is on the 1300 S. State Street Area.
I lived in this area about six years ago, but at that time I was terrified to go out at night. I wouldn't leave the house without an escort. At night you are constantly approached by gangs of males calling out sexual comments. There are also a lot of vagrants around. There was a lot of crime in the area. People were constantly complaining about burglary. The local neighborhood children were constantly stealing anything that wasn't bolted down. There was also a lot of vandalism. There were a few restaurants in the area, though I believe there are more fast food options available now. There is a Walmart within driving distance.
