South Bancroft St, Logan Heights

I spent a lot of time (against my better judgment) walking around this neighborhood. It's the cheapest way to get exercise, afterall. But I always dreaded walking up S Bancroft. The only reason I consistently did was that it has a long incline so it gets the heart pumping. What also gets the heart pumping is the sound of gunshots. Which I heard more than once walking there. Let me tell you, nothing will irreparably change your opinion of a place like the sound of gunshots. It's kind of a dirty neighborhood, too, so that doesn't help. The air quality is absolutely awful, and when you reach the top of the hill you are at eye level with the smog in the flat lands.. so gross.
