"Sandwhiched between everything!"
One of my first apartments was on South Grener Avenue on the west side of Columbus. If you travel west on Broad Street, Grener is the first street outside of interstate 270. There is a Home Depot store, an automotive parts store, a waffle house and a gas station at the entrance of Grener Ave at W. Broad Street. The whole Grener Avenue is only about a mile long. At the south end of the road is a drive through convienience store, and a little east is a Mejier department store.
I lived in about the middle of the avenue. There is a school across the street, with houses surrounding my aparment complex on all sides. Behind that is the freeway and the sounds of large trucks and noisy cars from the freeway can be heard around the clock - part of the reason I ended up moving.
I say sandwhich between everything because just north of Grener is a large shopping center with a pet store, grocery shopping, and even a night club. Fast food and sit down resturants are all around this area as well. Just south of Grener is a Meijer department store, another night club, more resturants, a bowling alley, a pool hall and a movie theater. You can have pretty much any type of entertainment within a five minute drive.
