"Gated community, small houses, yards on 'no parking' narrow street"

Inland in what is known as 'new' Encinitas, no ocean views. 142 detached and attached homes that range from 1200'-1700'. Built cheaply in 1979 with no pantries, linen closets, etc. Streets are fire lanes and no overnight parking allowed, with short driveways. Many professional single women, older folks, and recently due to home prices lowering rentals and some new families babies and small children. Homes not set up for children, as the yards are VERY small, narrow streets, etc. CCR's disallow playing in the streets which are too dangerous for children anyway. Original residents very nice and thoughtful using the golden rule in activities. Newer residents don't seem to have read the rules and reg's or the CCR's before moving in and it causes alot of problems. Encinitas allows no skateboarding on streets, this neighborhood allows NO skateboarding. Rule came about due to the trick skateboarding accidents and damage to common areas.Fines occur frequently. Many professional single women- quiet neighbors. If we could get the newer families to use golden rule it would help. Cars are a big problem. Have to fit in your driveway or garage. Due to house design of no storage-most are used for storage of day to day items, causing alot of street issues. Its alot like living in an apartment house due to the noise of kids, dogs, daily living as houses were built cheaply no insulation, single paned windows, attached small homes, kids playing outside in neighbors yards as they have no yard, houses as close as 6' from street, etc. What is going for the neighborhood is that it is in Encinitas. If you want a nice street that you dont have someone else's kids in your yard, your neighbors giant dual tired truck with advertising painted on the side 6 feet from your windows, 15 year old's who drink on the street at night, etc. Live somewhere else. If I could afford to move after owing here 15 years I would.
