"Up and coming area..."
The Decatur area has gone through it's ups and downs throughout it history. The last decade was a poor time for the Decatur area, but with new construction and young couples and families moving into the area the Decatur area has found rejuvenation. I have seen a great return on my home investment.
Having lived there for the past 4 years I have watch the area transform from a run down crime infested area, to a young eclectic growing area. Down town Decatur has become a great place to hang out for families and individuals alike. With seasonal events and festivals to great restaurants without the fastfood chain feel.
The local realestate is growing fast with new stylish construction as well as historical architechture, you can find anything to fit your budget. Being inside the Perimeter and only 6 miles from downtown Atlanta, you have access to all the hotspots the metro area has to offer.
For those sports fans, East Lake golf course is right here and host PGA tournaments. Wanna catch a Atlanta Braves basball game or Atlanta Falcons football game? Just a quick drive or hop on Marta at one of many convient stations. You can even catch the Atlanta Silverbacks Professional Soccer team, it is just a short 10 minute drive.
This area has gotten some rave reviews and article in the local news and being the hot up coming area, it has been said to be the "next Buckhead".
