"Quiet residential street"
Troostwood Road is a quiet street in a residential area neighboring both Rockhurst University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. There are several trees along the street so in the summer the area is very pretty.
This street is often confused for the larger road, Troost, located only 2 blocks away, however the two streets couldn't be more different. Troostwood Road is a very short street with only a handful of houses. Due to its proximity to the universities, most residents are young adults or those with young families.
The street is supported by curbside recycling and large-trash pick-up. A good local bus service is located just two blocks walk away.
There are several dog owners in the area however there are no real issues with barking at night time. Very little traffic passes through the street, helping to reduce noise levels.
