Lafayette Blvd
"Nice scenery..Coming up"
Lafeyette Blvd is a street that runs into Downtown Norfolk. The scenery has changed so much over the years but its for the better. You can see the Lafeyette River and you can see big business buildings as you are about to approach Downtown Norfolk. This street has many condos built up and they are doing a lot of construction now to tear down old residence and paving the roads from all the pot holes, lol.

Newtown Rd
"Used to be a night area"
This used to be a great place to live in but like a lot of place in Hampton Roads the areas are going down. Newtown Rd is surrounded by Betty F Williams Elementary School, Bayside Middle and High School. It is in close distance to malls. This is a busy Road. As far as anyone moving there, I wouldn't recommend it. The gang activity is getting so high in the area that the local delivery place won't even deliver food there they place the neighborhoods on Newtown Rd in a "RED" zone.
North Military Hwy
"Alot to do but it is a very busy street"
Military Hwy is a busy busy and may I say again a busy street. It goes through Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. There are various shops, malls, parks and other forms of entertainment. The area is kind of going down but for shopping it is great. It will take you about an hour or longer to get through rush hour traffic and that is a good day.

Level Green Blvd
"Bad Neighborhood Beware"
This used to be a nice neighborhood and now I don't know what happened. In the past month there has been 4-5 killings and home invasions. There is gang activity and everything. I do not advise anyone to move in this area. It is a high traffic neighborhood with nice neighborhoods around it. But this particular street has so many undercover cops going in and out of there 24-7. I live around the corner and I don't even walk anywhere near there in fear something will happen.
Shore Dr
"Busy Street..Lots of Wrecks"
Shore Drive is the main street to the Ocean Front but also the Little Creek Naval Base. It is poorly lit at night which causes many accidents. This street is the deadly road in the city. A lot of military live on this street and there are Base housing lining up and down the street on both sides. There are some businesses on the street but not many. They need to upgrade a lot on that street but especially the lighting.

"Beautiful Place and only 5 mintues from the Beach"
Laskin Road runs directly into the Beach. This street always has traffic because it is the main roadway to the Ocean Front so in the summer time it is horrible. But this street has everything you could possibly think of, to bowling alleys, boutiques, Fresh Produce Markets and excellent scenery.

Church St
"Bad neighborhoods but trying to improve"
Church Street is and has always been one of the worst streets in Norfolk. The traffic is horrible, you have drugs and a lot of homeless people running around. They are tearing down a lot of projects and old buildings down to make the area look better. But this street has its reputation and it is not a good one. O and there are a lot of churches on the street too.
Granby St
"Great street with plenty to do"
As you go down Granby Street you can get the best of both worlds. You can get the great places to eat but you can also get some outdoors activities going on such as the Norfolk Zoo and there is a great big park located in the best spot for picnics and football games.

"I Loved growing up here"
I grew up on Forrest Ave from the age of 2 years old until then age of 14. This neighborhood was the best!! It is near the Naval Base there are eating places and movie theaters in a close distance. The neighborhood has a playground and church. When you live here its very family oriented and your kids can play safely and you won't have to worry about anything.

"Its an okay place to stay"
The apartment complexes are quiet but its the surrounding neighborhoods that bring the trouble. I have been living here for almost 2 years and the area has changed so much and as soon as I find another place to stay I am out of here.
