West Cedar St
"Pleasant and cool surroundings"
California street runs parallel to Kettner boulevard close to the San Diego freeway. It is kind of a scanty neighborhood are with few locals dwelling here. Accommodation would certainly be no problem, you may stay in here as a paying guest but if you’re looking for some good food you will have to go to the neighboring Kettner boulevard, where you can make a choice from the restaurants available there. Small and unpopular eateries are a part of California street. Small businesses are also concentrated here.

Dove Canyon Rd
"Great coffee shops"
This street begins at Rancho Bernado road and runs through a hilly type of terrain. Because of its strategic location in such a terrain and cool climate, it is most viable for recreation and outings. Starbucks coffee shop is located on this street and Coffee bean and Tea leaf are the two nearby café’s on this street. Red brick pizza offer some of the appetizing tastes of pizzas. Traffic is minimum on the street and local cabs are available for transport.

West Harbor Dr
"Lovely ocean view"
Harbor drive is a beautiful street overlooking the ocean. The view and the scenic presence of the sea makes the street enchanting and pleasant. From here you can get a view of San Diego harbor and the huge ships that dock here. If you are on this street, then you could get a chance of boating or cruising and whale watching. I liked the street, especially because of its weather and cool breeze blowing every time. Coffee sops, ice cream parlors, gift and art shops are located over here. The United States Naval base is at a short distance from Harbor drive.

Pacific Hwy
"Important street in San Diego"
Pacific highway is one of the main street in San Diego. Vehicular traffic is concentrated in larger quantities on this street. Huge skyscrapers and luxury resorts are common. I was sponsored a stay by my company at the Embassy Suites. Excellent service and accommodation with comfort is all I can say about this hotel. Restaurants, music shops, clothing and accessories stores are some of the smaller commercial establishments here.

Lamont St
"Beautiful and scenic"
The street is an alley of beautiful apartments and bungalows. It runs parallel to other smaller streets in San Diego. Lamont street grill is the only famous eatery on Lamont street. For visitors, hotels and small resorts are available with cheap accommodation. You can either choose dining at place of your stay or move on to the street or to its neighboring ones to get a taste of San Diego. Better Buzz Coffee is a one stop coffee shop serving different flavors of the same.

State St
"Friendly and pleasant surroundings"
State street runs close to San Diego freeway. Although, not the main it is still an important inter city route in San Diego. It succeeds the Reynard way and ends at W Market street. The Amici park is situated near the State street. There are also many huge buildings and skyscrapers at corners of this street. The people here are very friendly and active. Even without big stores and hotels, the street has a pleasant vibe with calm and serene surroundings. Hair cutting saloon, florists and bakery are some of the businesses situated down the street.

Date St
"Golf is popular sport here"
Date street is a small street in the happening city of San Diego. It seems strange that the street is not continuous and you have to go through other streets like Cedar streets to get on to the other end of this street, confusing enough. From the date street you can easily go on to the Golf course drive which runs through the Balboa Golf course. There are many small and big houses, stores, parlors, in all its like any other local street. I found the youth and others living here mostly play golf for recreation.

Market St
"Commerce is the main activity"
One among the main streets in San Diego is the Market street. It is almost busy all the time with vehicular traffic and businesses and commercial offices that are located in the buildings here. Other than just commerce, there are other avenues available for recreation, fun and sports. There are theaters, music stations or clubs, restaurants and playgrounds. There are also some parks situated close to Market street and can be easily accessed from here. Five star resorts and other cheaper hotel accommodation is easy to find without any trouble. Lighthouse Inc. and Pizza hut are the popular restaurants on this street.

Granada Ave
"Environment friendly street"
If you take a right from the Upas street, your next destination would be the Granada avenue. The street seemed to be environment friendly and covered with trees all around. You won’t find your self tired and exhausted even if you walk down here as there is a lot of shade along a large part of the street. There is a small gymnasium, general store, grocery on the Granada avenue. One can oversee the Balboa Municipal Golf course from this street and is at a small driving distance from here.

Cedar St
"Not traveller friendly"
Cedar street runs parallel to the Date street. In between the two there are huge lands partially filled with greenery. On some locations you can even see the Date street on the other end. Over here there are small setups like coffee shops, groceries, boutiques etc. and if you are looking for more options then they are readily available at the intersections of Cedar street with other ones in San Diego. Food, in terms of eateries is scanty but better options are available on the neighboring streets.
