One block long street that goes from car traffic busy yet pedestrian lite Jackson ave to the train yards. Would wanna find myself here at nighttime.

If you are planning on drag racing, this street will either be your track or the road you take on the way. This road goes from the sketchy area under the LIE to the sketchy area by Newtown Creek passing warehouses and cemeteries along it's route.. There is no reason to be here unless you really have a reason to be here.. No neighborhood to speak of, no food, no nothing....

This is the last street before the East river in Long island city. It goes from all the New high rises and Gantry park in the north to deadending at Newtown creek in the South. But for it's short run it managaes to have a cool restaurant, and ice skating rink, and a bunch of tennis courts. So it's a weird little street to check out if your in the hood.

Basically a service road that runs next to the rail yards and then under the LIE.. Not much to say about it, no nightlife restaurants or anything like that. no reason to really be here unless you are dumping a body or trying to find the LIE.

This is pretty much a three lane highway that happens to have people living on it. Be very careful crossing this street as people usually fly at like 50+ down it and I've seen lots of lights being run!

Crescent is one of the view thoroughfares that goes all the way North South through most of western Queens. When it starts out up past Ditmars it's a nice quiet residential street, and then after it passes the triborough bridge on it's way south it becomes a speed freak street. people fly on it on their way from the BQE to the queensboro Bridge and the streets near that bridge are in constant gridlock. Have never lived on it but I imagine in those crowded parts it's a very annoying place to live. My friend lives up on Ditmars though and it is quiet and peaceful.

Pretty uneventful lame Queens street, with the exemption of the bit of it in Hunters Point. In Hunters Point there is one block of it that is all of these beautiful rowhouses that are all very well kept. The coolest part is that at one end of the street is the 7 train and a skyscraper so it is super cool looking.

A long nasty street that starts in an industrial wasteland, then goes through the projects, then through blahness, and ends in pretty area with a beautiful park. If you have a heart condition don't drive on this street, even if your in perfect health it's not a good idea. 2 lanes in each direction with parking on both sides and about an inch of clearance between lanes. I have been driving in NY since I got my license and this street scares me, kind of fun because it's like your in a bond film sometimes with all the neccesary lane swerving for turning and double parked cars. If you are not comfortable driving in Manhattan you should stay away as this street makes 3rd ave look like nothing. Also it's freaking loud and dirty.

The N and W train run elevated above the majority of this street, and man is it loud! Pretty deserted and dark. There are a couple of good businesses, a good diner at beebe, a great Brazilian restaurant at 36th, and the igloo diner at Ditmars. But for the most part loud with trains above and lots of traffic in the streets. Also the train trestles go down into the street so for inexperienced drivers this must be a pretty scary street to drive on as big steel beams are every ten feet on the right side of the road when you are driving.

On the southern end of Vernon you've got a lot of hipster bars, restaurants and stuff. This area is very nice and a good place to go for a walk on a sunny day, as it is near the river and has a great view of Manhattan. As you go North it gets industrial, then snakes through one of the largest housing projects in the United States, a Costco, and then deadending in a strange yet beautiful suburban looking area by the triborough (now RFK) Bridge.

I live on 35th St near 35th Avenue.. close to two different train stations and 4 subway lines (6 on weekends). On this part of 35th there is a movie theater a few blocks away. The only problem I have with this street is that people drive a little bit too fast, but hey it's Queens, everyone drives like a nut out here.
