31st Ave
"Between 30th and Broadway"
This is an up-and-coming street, sandwiched between the higher-traffic broadway, and the hipper 30th Ave. But it's a great street to live on if you like to have shopping and night life accessible but not right on top of you. Some of the old shops are starting to give way to newer, more interesting establishments.

"Key street in this part of Queens"
Crescent Street has it all, if you're looking for basic services in a neighborhood. Small grocery stores, a couple of thrift/vintage shops, laundromats - and if you're on Crescent near Mt. Sinai, there's a florist with $5 and $10 bouquets for you to take across the street to the hospital.
At the corner of Crescent and 30th Avenue is the Crescent Corner Coffee Shop - a nice, neighborly place to have coffee. They have free delivery!

"Pretty Lame street.. and very busy in some points.."
Crescent is one of the view thoroughfares that goes all the way North South through most of western Queens. When it starts out up past Ditmars it's a nice quiet residential street, and then after it passes the triborough bridge on it's way south it becomes a speed freak street. people fly on it on their way from the BQE to the queensboro Bridge and the streets near that bridge are in constant gridlock. Have never lived on it but I imagine in those crowded parts it's a very annoying place to live. My friend lives up on Ditmars though and it is quiet and peaceful.

"Dangerous area with high crime records"
This is not really not good place to live your life unless you wanna feel some "excited" things. One of my friends lives a couple blocks from that street and he told me there could be more than 10 crime events just within one week. So you won't like to walk along this street when it is in the dark. I have been here for just one time. There are some cheap apartments by the street. However, there is one pretty good Italian Pizza store just 2 or 3 blocks from there.

"The cutting off point"
I've always considered Crescent street the cutting off point of Astoria. I would never want to live on a street below Crescent street as the area seems to get worse and worse but everything above Crescent street is really nice. My friend lives on Crescent and AStoria Blvd and I find it to be a nice place but the area is a bit scary at night.
