"The old charm never left"

Spruce Avenue is so alive! The street holds that old regale charm of South San Francisco that never left. There are old adobe style churches and large houses that are still erect which blend in with more modern structures. There are always people that are out and about which give Spruce Avenue an even more active feeling. There are plenty of small mom and pop businesses that range from old antique stores to hole in the war bars. This is definitely a street to come and explore on the weekend.

"Far from the ideal village"

This street is not called Village Way for anything. Village Way does actually resemble a small village, like those small quaint ones that you picture in a rural European country. There is only thing lacking though at Village Way and that is the tranquil atmosphere. The houses which are all condos and town homes are all connected together and nice enough but that is it. There is no character or any sense of community. It is all slab and concrete. I don't know why anyone would want to live on a street where as soon as you walk out the door you see all twenty of your neighbors.

"Street from a bygone era"

Streets like Victory Avenue are from a bygone era. You just don't find streets that are dedicated to the blue collar workers anymore at least not around the South San Francisco area. Most people only know this street for two reasons. One as a shortcut or two because they work at one of the plants on the street. If you are bar hopping and decide to drive home instead of taking a cab, Victory Avenue can be an easy escape route if it is in your path because cops rarely patrol this area and nothing goes on after dark on this street except for the certain plants that are open 24 hours. During the daytime you can expect to get behind semis that are trying to maneuver their way into a small parking lot.

"The Geography of a Street is not Everything"

The shape of some streets are really strange. Myrtle Avenue is a great example. Myrtle Avenue starts off as a small straight lane leaving Orange Park and then it veers towards the South. People that don't know the area could easily mistake Myrtle Avenue and easily end up on Mayfair Avenue. It can be really frustrating. The street itself is mainly on the lower middle class side I would say. The yards are well kept and for the most part the people are friendly enough. I wish there were more young people living in the area. It seems there are mostly families and older couples with small dogs that bark constantly. I am glad the street is close to a park though. My roomies and I go to Orange Park a lot for picnics and such.

"The perfect street for a family"

When I get out of college Rocca Avenue is the kind of street that I want eventually see myself living on. It is the perfect street and serves as my ideal community. The houses are all brand new and embody that whole Southwestern architecture style. There is a large park right behind the street that would be perfect for my children and also my piece of mind. The road is close enough to all the conveniences but far enough away without feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes on the weekends I drive down this road and picture myself living in one the houses.

"Don't raise kids on this street"

I would never suggest raising kids on this street. I lived on Orange Avenue with my mom when I was a kid for a couple of years. She was always so worried about traffic that I could never play outside on my own. We didn't have a yard and our house was right upon the road. I cut through Orange Avenue sometimes to get through Grand Avenue and I understand how my mom could have been worried about the whole traffic issue so my suggestion is don't live in this neighborhood if you have kids. Also I see random people standing around a lot at street corners on Orange Avenue and way too many taxis. It is certainly a busy street with a variety of people that pass through the street.

"The best road in South San Francisco"

I love the smell of the sea. Whenever I am driving down Marina Blvd the freshness of the water overwhelms my senses. It feels like I'm not really in the city anymore. Marina Blvd is very relaxing and makes for an easy drive. There are plenty of places to park and get out and enjoy views of the bay. The road is long enough to also just enjoy a casual drive. There are plenty of individual docks in this area. This is also a popular place for people to take photographs of sunsets and things like that. Marina Blvd is definitely one of the standout streets in South San Francisco.

"Keep Driving and you will find amazing views of the San Francisco Bay"

Forbes Blvd happens to be a pretty commercial street. It is more business than residential. The architecture is rather dim and gray but there is one positive point. Forbes Blvd swoops around to the lovely Point San Bruno Park which has amazing views over looking the San Francisco Bay. Traffic is heavier during the week but it calms down a lot after rush hour and on the weekends. There are street lights on patches of green in the middle of the roads to help drivers navigate their way at night.

"The perfect little surburbia"

Woods Circle is an inland drive that features quaint two story houses that stretch all the way back into the wilderness. The houses are lined perfectly next to each other and the community is very vibrant. Woods Circle is strictly residential. There are no stores or any other businesses. This is a family neighborhood and when you are driving through the street you can very much tell so. Kids are out playing in their yards and parents are often grilling or fixing up their gardens. I would call it the perfect little surburbia.

"School Street is Very Bland"

School street is a very bland street. The only green is a little patch of grass in some of the yards. The hills that over look the houses and street are nothing but dirt. Drivers have to drive extra slow on the street because there is a school nearby and if you don't drive slow it seems there are always comes waiting. I have gotten two tickets for barely doing five over the limit. There is this weird looking building with Mexican religious images that really don't fit in with the street. It kind of sticks out like an eye sore and the school is right up on the road. The only thing that separates the school and the road is a fence which makes the whole school visible to everyone that is passing by.
