"Some Good Shopping, Easy Access"
Despite serving as the headquarters to Google, Mountain View is actually a fairly modest town. The shopping center reflects this quite well, as it is home to an REI, a PetSmart and a Starbucks. The clientele here is typical suburban, and the REI has an extensive selection of outdoor gear and clothing, ranging a spectrum of prices.
Unfortunately, the proximity to the 101 is a bit deceptive - this stretch of interstate can get confusing in its labeling, and there is a bit of navigation required once you exit the interstate. Getting back on is just as confusing, as signage is limited and a bit of intuition is required.
Cell phone reception is just fine, traffic is average for Silicon Valley (i.e. hectic anywhere else), and there is more than enough parking for pet owners and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
