"Looks can be deceiving."
Located just next to downtown this street is very interesting, because although it looks like your typical urban LA neighborhood, its actually quite friendly. The inhabitants of this particular stretch between Pico and Venice are very friendly. Everyone greets each other when passing by even if they haven't met you. The area is known for some gang violence, however this block has very little to no gang activity relative to neighboring neighborhoods. This is a very active block very busy with cars passing through kids out in the street and lots of foot traffic.
