"Right Down the Street From 42nd St"
Vanderbilt actually connects to 42nd St. It has a lot of commercial buildings. It is rather a short street. There is one large department store on the block. Otherwise, it is just a method to get from 42nd St. to another St.
Pros
- Short block
Cons
- Not much housing
Vanderbilt Ave
"Great Street with Grand Central as Icing"
This is a great street. Grand Central Terminal shadows this terrific block in midtown Manhattan, and Grand Central has a lot more to offer than transit. Inside, there is a lot of high-end shopping and dining (Grand Central Oyster Bar is delicious), as well as the beautiful and world famous lobby, still shining from its fairly recent renovation. Nearby Madison avenue is the place to shop, but Vanderbilt is the place to work, as many office buildings line the street. One WONDERFUL place to go is Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse to get some great steak. You should also try Café Centro for lunch.

"Short street streaming with activity"
Vanderbilt Avenue in New York was named in honor of Cornelius Vanderbilt.Though the street is short it carries much life and activity going on here. The Yale club of New York city is located here. While the day carries various chores of people the night is rocking with music and food lovers. With years, Vanderbilt avenue has now been metamorphosed into a dining and nightlife hot spot.

"Do spend some time here"
Just a very cool place to go and see. It's beautiful and you can't take enough pictures of all the details.Grand Central is one of the things that makes New York more like a European city. The old and intricate architecture coupled with the foot traffic of people going to or from trains -- or simply traversing a few blocks through the immense building creates energy. Couple this with excellent shopping and one of the best food markets ever, and you get a feeling of why people simply love New York City.
