Volunteer Park Rd
"Great Park Reservoir"
Volunteer Park Road stretches around Volunteer Park which is located in the heart of Seattle. East Highland Drive turns into Volunteer Park Road. The park itself is a historic city landmark. There are tennis courts, play areas, rest rooms, nature trails and a lake. This really is one of the best areas in the city to experience the scenery without actually leaving the city. It is a great place to bring the kids and enjoy cookouts. The drive is also pleasurable. Speed limits are restricted to 25 in most areas. Take extra precaution when driving because there are quite a few kids running around and some ducks too! I would suggest visiting this road even if it is out of your way. The area is easy to reach 10 Ave East.
