Waconia

Waconia is a city in the county of Carver, in the state of Minnesota, US. It is situated approximately 35 miles of southwest of Minneapolis. The city rushed in suburban development recently and increased to a population of 10,967. It is home to Waconia Wildcats Sports Team. The Carver County Fair held in town is attended by thousands of residents from nearby cities.
The city of Waconia has a total area of 11.37 square kilometers according to the US Census Bureau. 4.34 miles of it is land and the rest is water. The two main routes in the city are Minnesota State Highways 284 and 5. The city has 2,748 families and 3,909 households. It has a total of four public schools and two public schools namely Southview Elementary, Bayview Elementary, Clearwater Middle School, Trinity Lutheran School, St. Joseph Catholic School and Waconia High School. There are a total of 477 private schools in the city.
The teacher to student ratio in Waconia for public schools is 1:18 which is 16 percent greater than the teacher to student ratio of Minnesota and 12.9 percent greater than the National teacher to student ratio.
