"Up amd coming street in the Crossroads"
The 15-16 block of Walnut is one block away from the upcoming Entertainment District in downtown KC. It contains a salon, eye care place and JP Wine Bar. Also one block away from sushi, wine, sports bars and more. Walnut isn't the center of it all, but it's good that it's not.

"On the edge of the downtown revitalization"
I've lived here for about a year, but I've lived in the area for eight years. This street has greatly improved over the last three or four years due to an influx of residents. However, right now basic retail services are a little lacking. With the impending opening of the Sprint Center and the Power & Light District hopefully that will change in the next couple of years.
At nights, there still aren't enough people in the streets for it to feel completely safe to my girlfriend, but I have never had a problem. It would be nice if the city would replace some of the decorative street lights that have burned out in this area.
I think this street is very well positioned with regard to all the new development going on in the area. It just needs more people and light rail.
