"Decent Shopping Center"
This may not be the bustling downtown Santa Cruz that many people seek out, but it is a great little spot for locals who want good coffee, good food and good beer. Watson Street is home to a small but vibrant shopping center that includes Java Junction, Taqueria Cancun, Linda's Seabreeze Cafe, and of course, the Seabright Brewery. This street is also a hop, skip and a jump away from the beach, which is far less crowded here than on the nearby boardwalk.
This is a bit of a stand-alone shopping center, so the area is more suburban than downtown, but it does have some nice offerings. It can get a bit crowded here on weekends, but it is a decent spot that is not as chaotic as the bustling downtown and touristy boardwalk.
