West 83 St
"Not much to look at but a great place to live"
West End Ave is where home buyers go if they are looking for an apartment with a lot of square footage. It is a residential street but not as sought after as the nearby Riverside Drive so co-ops will go for a little less. Families flock to this area to find apartments with more than one bedroom that will not break the bank. Not as busy as Broadway, it is a good street for fast city walking if you don't want to get slowed up by tourists.

West 83 St
"Comfortable oasis on the west end."
I have always liked the west side. It's less commercialized in my opinion and West 83rd embodies that perfectly. The street is lined with great spots to stop in for a bite and convenient stores and service shops. When you turn off the busy streets that intersect it, like Broadway and West End Ave you are taken away to a small retreat. It's has a good deal of potential for young couples and families who are looking to settle in the city. For trendy singles there are a number of great little cafes in the area that will not disappoint. The upper west side is not as ritzy as the it's east end counterpart, but it's still extremely nice and offers a great deal to it's residents.

"Quiet and Quite Delicious!"
If you’re a fan of Meg Ryan or Tom Hanks then you have probably seen You've Got Mail and are familiar with the faithful scene in which they finally meet each other. This wonderful little meeting occurs at Café Lalo, a brightly lit, fully service restaurant on W. 83rd and Broadway. The street itself is nice and quiet, a good neighborhood to live in s there are not too many bars around. The block near Broadway is convenient if you like quiet nights out as it is surrounded by cozy little cafes and a movie theater. The brownstone lined street gives a cozy feel to anyone who walks down, even if they don't reside there. It's a nice place to relax, even if you're a tourist, I would definitely recommend stopping by this area!

"Quiet & Friendly Street"
I have lived here for 2 years. Great place to come home to. Near riverside park (half a block away), central park, and a reasonable amount of descent restaurants (take-out/delivery as well as places to dine in).
