West Grand Blvd
"an ok street but not really my type of area"
There's only maybe 2 or 3 good things about W Grand Blvd. On one hand, it runs through portions of Wayne State University which can be somewhat of a benefit if you're a college student, but if you're dependent on bus transportation, you're stuck with either SMART or DDOT, the latter of which only goes by each separate designated spot on an hourly basis. Not good if you're trying to get anywhere. The Henry Ford Hospital is right off of W. Grand Blvd too which is a good thing I guess, considering that Henry Ford Hospital has an excellent reputation for their healthcare services there. And you can also find the Fisher Theater too. That is, if you enjoy Broadway plays. Otherwise I wouldn't want to live on this street, although it might be good if you're out having a night on the town so to speak.

"Must see the Fisher Building!"
The Fisher Theatre is probably one of the coolest things in Detroit--the historic building not only houses a theatre, but plenty of boutiques and stores. The building itself is also amazing, and its golden tower is somewhat of a Detroit-landmark. The building is readily-accessible, and offers special events during Tastefest.
Also on W Grand is Henry Ford Hospital, which is one of the better hospitals in the Detroit area. The road itself is okay--I'm not sure if I'd go so far as to recommend living on it, but I'd say it's fine for a night on the town.

"The Fisher Theatre and Henry Ford Hospital..."
...are the two best things about W. Grand Blvd. The Fisher brings Broadway to Detroit, and increases the city's cultural level by about 100 points on a scale of 1-100. The hospital is one of the best anywhere. Plus, large portions of Wayne State University are nearby.
