"Connector in a Working-Class Neighborhood"
This particular section of Redwood City is more of a blue-collar neighborhood than some of the neighboring areas in Silicon Valley. The neighborhood is certainly safe, but the homes are understated and not as modern as in some other areas. However, the biggest challenge with this road is the traffic. Given that this is route 84, which crosses over the Santa Cruz Mountains on one side and connects with the Dumbarton Bridge on the other, traffic in this area tends to be very congested, especially around 5 PM rush hour (for some reason, it never seems to be quite as bad in the morning, although that could very well be attributed to my personal timing).
The businesses here mainly consist of gas stations, auto body shops, and chains like Starbuck's and Dairy Queen, although the area gets significantly nicer once the town turns into Woodside. On the plus side, this area is more affordable than many nearby neighborhoods in other towns, and is relatively close to the mountains for being so understated. Just don't plan on getting over the hill quickly.

Woodside Rd
"late night drinks"
This road is perfect for late nights after a long day of work. Only because it leads you to The Saddle Room Bar. This bar has a friendly atmosphere, its not for an upper-class experience. The drinks are pretty cheap and the bartenders will keep you in a happy mood. During the day when I'm on this road I always stop by at KFC for some nice, hot chicken.
