Does Yorkville in New York City have good schools?

No one (that I know anyway) sends their kid to public school in Manhattan. They're notoriously bad. Yorkville is a great area in terms of proximity to most of the great private schools in the city. They are crazy expensive but considered a must by most people. The alternative would be one of the few Charter Schools in the city that are free but also require a lengthy and ridiculous admissions process.
