"Short street unlike its sister numbered streets of Downtown SF"
1st Street is even smaller than 2nd Street in terms of road length. 1st Street also runs through Downtown San Francisco but much closer to the pier than 2nd Street. There are some places to eat and dine at on 1st Street, but other than that there are mainly businesses on this street. One thing that is notable about 1st Street is that it is home to the San Francisco Millennium Tower. Although this tower may not be as grand or noted than the Transamerica Pyramid building, it is still a nice sight to see. 1st Street also ends short of the pier (unlike 2nd Street), so don’t expect to reach The Embarcadero or AT&T Park to see the Giants through this street.
