"Cute Street, Parking is Un-Fun"
Fourth Street in Santa Rosa is a beautiful, quintessential downtown – if you can find a way to park and stay here. With paid hourly parking and a two-hour maximum anywhere (although I’m not sure how heavily it is enforced), it is not the easiest place to hang out. It took me about 20 minutes to find a coffee shop that was not a Peet’s Coffee or a Starbuck’s, and I finally settled on a restaurant with wifi.
There are some great eating options, so if you are looking for interesting food you likely will not be disappointed. There is also a Barnes and Noble. Best of all, the neighborhood is extremely uncrowded given the parking challenges. Like most of Sonoma County, it is a friendly place.

4th St
"The Best Side of Both Worlds"
4th Street, in Santa Rosa, California is a very nice downtown shopping center on one end and on the other a main road next to the highway. It was the main shopping area in Railroad square and also had a park. There was a lot of foot and transportation traffic and there were a lot of parking spaces but hard to find a place to park because the road was so busy.It had a lot of antique shops and boutiques and not to mention a lot of places to eat in a large variety to choose from. Then after you pass Santa Rosa Plaza it is a long scenic road that has amazing new houses that are not close together and that have a good size yard backyard with trees. Mot places in California where I have been that is the opposite of what I have seen. Usually the houses in a neighborhood look alike and are really close together and don't really have a yard from what I have seen. This place looked like paradise with a P! There are not a lot of parking places but you get used to it. The pros of this street outweigh the cons. 4th ST. eventually turns into Sonoma Highway.
