"Lovely street -- especially for a big one"

I used to live just off of Greenwich Street and I loved it! It's a pretty big street (not to be confused with the smaller Greenwich Ave) and it's really tranquil for being such a large piece. Greenwich Street is tree-lined and has a ton of cute eateries and a great energy.
There are a lot of really old buildings on Greenwich. Most of them are from the 19th century and many of the original townhouses still exist. There are, of course, some massive apartment buildings on Greenwich St: The Archives (a former factory turned luxury apartment building wherein the apartments are pretty stunning) and the Printing House (same as the archives). The Printing House raised quite a stink when they converted their old racquetball gym into a new Equinox with a pool . . . . that no regular members of Equinox can use without paying another 100 bucks a month! Almost no one can use that gym considering the regular fees are already exorbitant. And, yes, I am a regular Equinox member so that news really chapped my hide too.
There are some overpriced boutiques that line the street but it wouldn't be the West Village without them. And, because there's not a ton of commerce, the street manages to keep it's quaintness, which I always liked.
One thing you can't not mention when talking about Greenwich street is the Spotted Pig. The Spotted Pig is a fantastic restaurant on 9th at 11th. It is always packed and really renowned. The bartenders are a little crusty but other than that, it's pretty awesome. It's quite dark and the food is really heavy, so it lends itself to a rainy evening. It was my favorite place to grab a beer and comfort food when I lived down the street.

"A Long Street with a little of everything"

Greenwich street in New York is home to a number of historic buildings. There are many useful stores and the local subway routes are nearby and quite dependable. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. There are a few small parks in the area, public schools and a lot of good stores. It runs through the old world trade center site.

"Good atmosphere in a great neighborhood"

Good food and good fun is easy to come by on Greenwich street. It is a truly lively place to be and if you are into an action-packed area this might be a great place to stop. The people watching possibilities are endless and Tribeca Grill offers some great food finds. I just simply love the atmosphere and the foot traffic that is so readily avaliable on Greenwich Street.

"A street with a lot of soul."

Greenwich street has an eclectic style that caters to all different types of people. The resturant scene in the area does not disappoint either. Flor De Sol offers amazing tapas and a great bar with Mediterranean inspired decor. Tribeca grill on the other hand offers up interesting and sophisticated fare. Overall the food scene can not be beat in the area. Greenwich street will be undergoing major construction in the coming year which may affect the style and flare of the neighborhood.

"Quiet, Chic, and Spacious"

I am speaking specifically about the part of Greenwich street in the West Village, at it's intersections with King St and Spring St. The first thing to mention is that getting to this area is not the most convenient when it comes to public transportation. The closest Subway stop is the ACE stop at W4th street and 6th ave or the 123 stop at Christopher street and 7th ave. Still, is is still a good 15-20 minute walk to these stations.

This area is very chic, with plenty of bars and underground clubs that stay hopping until the early hours. The Tapas bar on Spring and Greenwich has a great atmosphere and caters mostly to a late 20's early 30's crowd. Many of the apartments here are surprisingly spacious for Manhattan and offer quiet night time hours. This street defintely embodies the charm of the West Village, and is a nice area to visit.
