Is Brainerd in Chicago a good place to live for families with kids?

It's not the worst, but I don't really recommend Brainerd for families with kids. The schools aren't great, and it isn't the safest neighborhood.

Yes. It's a bit far removed from downtown, but as long as you don't mind that it's a safe and quiet family-oriented area.
