Is Brainerd in Chicago a safe neighborhood?

Owning a building in Brainerd I can say yes it is a safe place to live and own. The neighbors look out for on another and the building I bought was empty for a year or more and nothing was stolen out of it. It is very quiet and I am very comfortable to not have to put blinds on my window if I choose not to.

I'm not the biggest fan of Brainerd, but it's not the worst neighborhood in the city. I would hesitate to actually call it safe though. I consider it to be below average in terms of safety, though ti is certainly not as bad as areas like Woodlawn or Englewood.

It's not as safe as some areas, but there's not a huge problem with crime there.
