"Beautiful Place"
Canada Road is one of the lovely roads that makes Woodside as expensive as it is. As one of the main drags of the town, it is not quite as overpriced as some of its neighboring side streets, but the fact that it is close to downtown (or Woodside's nearest version thereof) and the major interstates makes makes up for any price differential. The stunning redwoods, douglas firs and madrones, characteristic of this town, make it feel like anything but a main drag.
In fact, it is so scenic that the road actually closes down on Saturdays in order to allow for bike traffic to take over. In a town that is hardworking and active, this is one of the most popular sports, and few places are better for this than Canada Road.
If biking doesn't strike your fancy, there are several great state parks nearby that are home to lovely hiking trails that will take you up into the Santa Cruz mountains, with even more trees, wildlife, and beautiful scenery.
