Woodside Rd, Woodside Glen

This is the last stretch of town before you hit several regional open space preserves and state parks - and a great (well, okay) place to stock up on trail snacks. Woodside Bakery and Cafe offers mouth-watering snacks (although the coffee shop standard sandwiches and salads are nowhere to be found). If you are wavering on gas and are heading west, stop here because you will not see anything else for miles. Phone reception also wavers right after you drive out, so this is a good spot to make any last necessary calls.

This is a lovely, desirable suburban town that is far enough removed from the rest of Silicon Valley that it avoids the traffic, without being overly mountainous or remote. It is expensive, full of bikers, and full of friendly people.
