"Right near the center of town"
Chelmsford street is located right near the center of boston. So it is close to all the things imaginable you'd want to go to. You could walk to the center of town. It is close to local highways. I read the other review that said that the funeral home on the next street ocasionally causes congestion, and when i was there i didn't notice a problem with the funeral home at all. I saw people going in and out of there, but never noticed a traffic problem ever. This street puts you at the heart of a historic town, and close to all the amenities. Your within walking distance to local resturants, stores, pharmacys, convienience stores, etc. I noticed no traffic at all, and it seemed like a safe quiet street to me.
I would recommend most streets in Boston, to anyone.

"Quiet, friendly street in the best neighborhood in Dorchester"
This is one of the nicest areas I have ever lived in, it is super quiet, friendly, and you can walk to anything in minutes as it is right in the heart of all amenities. Great local restaurants, pubs, drug stores, liquor stores, florist, convenience, and many take out eateries. The street is quiet, well kept, and minutes to 93. The only problem on this street is when there is a funeral at O'Connors Funeral home right on Adams Street, many visitors will park on Chelmsford Street while attending wakes and funerals, but it is usually only an inconvenience for a few hours here an there. Other than that, it is a pleasure to live there.
