Cherokee St
"One of Kennesaw's Main Streets - Charming Boutiques and Civil War Museum"
Cherokee Street is the main road that runs from I-75 (where Wade Green Road turns into Cherokee Street) to Main Street, Kennesaw. The road features mostly commercial properties, and has everything you need - from places to eat (pizza, mexican, thai, fast food), to a beauty school that features economical hair cuts, to a wedding chapel, to the Civil War Museum.
Railroad tracks give the old town feel, and trains frequently tie up traffic turning from Main Street onto Cherokee. Several new housing developments have recently sprouted up on Cherokee Street near Main Street. Two mornings a week a farmers market offers fresh vegetables in the parking lot at the railroad tracks. Summer festivals also make for enjoyable outings.
