"Busy Street in a Working-Class Neighborhood"
Donohoe Street is the gateway to Route 101, which is both a blessing and a curse. It is not nestled in the quieter, less safe neighborhoods of East Palo Alto, which makes it a bit less of a target for crime than some of the other spots. However, once you are here, don't plan on leaving anytime soon given the congestion of the traffic. This is one of the busiest streets in East Palo Alto, as it is the junction of Palo Alto, Ravenswood Shopping Center, the Four Seasons and the law firms, and East Palo Alto.
The homes here are modest, working-class houses (like much of the rest of the town), but they seem less run-down, somehow, perhaps due to the exposure. The gas stations are overpriced given the location, but there is some decent Mexican food nearby. I wouldn't recommend living here unless you are looking to purchase cheap property in an okay area, but there are worse places in East Palo Alto.
