"A beautiful downtown area"
The beauty of downtown Colorado Springs is all about in this neighborhood. Gorgeous tree lined streets are numerous in the midst of the hustle and bustle of city life. Downtown proper is like any other city with many buildings and crowded streets, but off the main roads it is a very pretty area. It's home to the Olympic Training Center which houses athletes from all over the U.S. as well as Colorado College, a four year institution that lies on a gorgeous campus with architecturally beautiful buildings.
The overall feeling when you're in the neighborhood is more laid back than business like. Even during winter months there are people strolling around, walking dogs, and even riding bicycles when the weather permits.
The houses in the area are older but all are well maintained and many have the older, tall trees which add to the beauty of the place. Homes are in the low $200,00 to $350,000 price range.
Most of the roads in this part of town aren't congested unless you're here in peak traffic times, but even then it's nowhere near as bad as some other cities. The view makes it easier to handle the stress of traffic.
Overall this is a really nice area for college students or those needing quick access to downtown.
