"Not a Bad Looking Area - Plenty of Schools"
E. 137th Street begins at Walnut Street and ends at Willis Avenue. E. 137th Street is funny by the fact the street shows as going on to Locust, but there is no street from Walnut onward. It is actually a manufacturing facility with a gate attached to welcome trucks. Also, the street ends at the Bruckner Expressway. You would have to get to the other side to complete your journey on E. 137th Street. Up till the Bruckner Expressway, there are mainly factories, industrial, and commercial facilities.
If you get on E. 137th Street from the Bruckner expressway, the street begins with car repair shops. Once you get pass Cyprus Avenue, the neighborhood becomes residential. It is also a nice area here. Further down you run into small stores on one side and residential apartment buildings on the other.
After Brook Avenue, you hit the school zone. The last block before Willis Avenue is mainly residential until just about at the intersection when a school zone will appear.
