"The Road to Yankee Stadium"
E. 153rd street comes in two parts. Part one goes from 3rd Avenue to Park Avenue. The second part begins at Walton Street and goes past Yankees Stadium to the Major Deegan Expressway.
The first part contains a church, a couple of schools, a number of apartment buildings, and a few stores.
The second part is not as pretty as the first part, but what makes this part so useful is that Yankee Stadium is not too far away. Before arriving at Yankees stadium, you will run into manufacturing facilities and a few apartment buildings. There are also trees planted along the sidewalks in some places that give the area a little greenery.
When you pass River Avenue you will find a couple of parking garages on one side of the road. Just keep going and you will connect to E. 157th Street, which will take you to Yankee Stadium.
