"Biggest attraction is Lavelle School for the Blind"
Of the entire stretch of E. 220th Street, the one particular landmark that stands out most of all is the Lavelle School for the Blind. They have helped thousands upon thousands of blind people cope in this world.
If you are a church goer, there are two types of churches one block from each other. So you have a couple variations to attend.

East 220th St
"East 220th Street"
East 220th Street is a nice street. It is filled with small businesses and a quaint atmosphere. The views of the river are very nice and this area is well trafficked, but not terribly loud. It’s a nice oasis from the hecticness of the midtown area. I really like this neighborhood and think it should be considered on a move to the Bronx.

"East 220th Street"
A variety of businesses line this street, though there isn’t much in the way of “a lot of fun.” This is what I refer to as a residentially convenient street, with various goods and services being offered to the people who live in the neighborhood, but to an outsider, it’s not worth the trek. These things can be found in your neighborhood. Fortunately, everything is compact. In New York City, you’re wise to know that food runs on the avenues, not on the streets, so for lunch, you should try a nearby street.
