"Nice and Greenery"
The main thing I have to say about East 237th Street is that is it nice looking and with plenty of trees around. In fact, there is a short park at the end. This park is connected to Van Courtland Park E.
Whether you have kids or not, you will love this area. It is so pleasant and nice looking. There are no schools on this block, which is it's downside, but as far as looks are concern, it beats most streets in the Bronx.
Check it out when you are in the area.

A variety of businesses line this street, though there isn’t much in the way of “a lot of fun.” This is what I refer to as a residentially convenient street, with various goods and services being offered to the people who live in the neighborhood, but to an outsider, it’s not worth the trek. These things can be found in your neighborhood. Fortunately, everything is compact. In New York City, you’re wise to know that food runs on the avenues, not on the streets, so for lunch, you should try a nearby street.

Not interested by this South Bronx street. I wasn’t very impressed. I didn’t think that it was nice to look at and thought that because the streets around it were relatively convenient, that it would also house the same benefits, but I was sadly mistaken. This may not be the place for the NYC culture you were searching for, but there’s definitely a good vibe here.
