East 43rd St
"United Nations Way"
At the heart of UN way, this street is home to the many offices of those working at the United Nations. You’ll find a wonderful neighborhood amidst the presitge, and in September, you might catch a glimpse of a world leader or two. You’ll also find some great lunch spots and varied shopping. I work at the United Nations, and enjoy my stroll down the hill to the UN, and seeing the diversity of diplomats and regular people intertwining in this unique neighborhood. The housing in the area is nice and the overall feel of the neighborhood is friendly, but what more could you expect from the UN?

East 43rd St
"Hectic tourist trap"
Once a haven for degenerates and still a haven for degenerates of a different kind, Times Square is chock full of business men and tourists. The bright lights have overshadowed the strip joints and the area is New York's very own disneyland. The food is horribly mainstream, overpriced and unhealthy. What ever you do stay away on New Years eve.
